About Suzanne M. Jorgensen

Finding the right assistance during a divorce can play a critical role in maintaining a civil and productive dialogue, even when it's most difficult. Suzanne M. Jorgensen has been an attorney for more than 20 years. Following her own divorce, for which she used a Mediator, she began mediating 15 years ago.

With a core belief that alternative approaches can foster a better long-term alternative to in-court litigation, Suzanne is a founding member and former President of the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group. A leader in introducing collaborative law to the roster of approaches available to those divorcing in NJ, her practice is focused on non-adversarial family matters, including mediation, collaborative divorce, and constructive negotiation. She has been practicing collaborative law since 2005. Suzanne was awarded the "Unsung Hero" award by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals for her work with the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group.

Suzanne is an accredited Practitioner Member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, and is on the roster of Court Mediators of the Administrative Office of the Courts. She also serves as a mentor for beginning Mediators. Suzanne was named one of the Best Mediators in New Jersey by NJBiz Magazine.

A graduate of Cornell University (B.A.), Boston University School of Law (J.D.) and New York University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation), Suzanne is admitted to practice law in NJ, NY, CA, and MD. She currently serves clients from her office in Wall, NJ.
